Purpose Statement:
The Barriere & District Riding Club proudly promotes equestrian sport in the Lower North Thompson Valley. As a member club of Horse Council of BC we encourage and promote education, horsemanship, sportsmanship and development of youth in our community. We support active families by hosting a variety of family friendly activities that welcome all levels of riders, including Horse Shows, Gymkhanas, Trail Rides, Clinics and other educational opportunities.
Founded in 1973 by a group of horse enthusiasts, our club has experienced many changes over the years. Our goals are to provide equine-based opportunity for youth in sport, a comfortable place for the young-at-heart to enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded people, and for horse lovers of all ages and experience levels to engage, socialize and make memories that will last forever.
